Carpets always enhance the beauty of your room. Let it be a small area rug or a wall to wall lengthy carpet. It plays it's own role in making your house look prettier. But, the beauty can be maintained only if the carpet is kept clean and tidy. If you have children or pets at home, the chances for your carpet to get wet are more. 1. The first and foremost idea that strikes your mind when thinking about how to dry wet carpet is to vacuum it away. Yes, that indeed is a good idea. But, the only thing you have to take care is that you must use a wet vacuum. Do not use your usual household vacuum cleaner that is meant for dry vacuum. This may damage the carpet. If you do not have a wet vacuum, try to rent one.

2. If the carpet is small in size, you may hang it in the sun for sometime and allow it to dry. But, if the size is larger, this won't work. In that case, just put the carpet upside down in your room and switch on the fan. This is because when the carpet gets wet, the water seeps through it's pores and settles at the down side of the carpet.

3. The last but not the least, you may ask for help from a professional company who can dry your carpet. But, be sure that you select a good company that assures quality service and knows how to dry wet carpet.
